The Bay Area Carpool Program in conjunction with Scoop and Waze Carpool is providing new carpooling riders the opportunity to receive five free trips within the nine-county Bay Area. The Bay Area Carpool Program is an initiative of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), and funded by MTC with grants from the US Federal Highway Administration and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. The Five Free Rides campaign is a collaboration between public and private sectors to benefit commuters; a shared goal.
