UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation Department are working with Uber & Lyft to establish designated pick up and drop off zones on campus.
Join the City of Berkeley and UC Berkeley for two ribbon cutting events on Friday, January 26.

The Hearst Complete Streets Project and the Bancroft CycleTrack Projects are completed, all of the bus stops around the UC Campus have returned and are reactivated:

AC Transit: Route 52 and F.

Local Route 52 and Transbay Route F have returned to Hearst and Gayley Streets.

Additionally the stops along Bancroft Way have reopened for service.

The Perimeter Line stop, at Bancroft Way and Ellsworth Street, is now open.

PARKING SPACES TO BE REMOVED - January 1, 2018

We are permanently removing a total of 79 parking spaces from the following locations:

  • Rimway
  • Centennial Drive
  • Gridiron Way
  • Bowles Parking Lot

We are removing the spaces in order to honor an agreement between a neighborhood association and campus.

*We resume normal business schedule on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m .

** Normal Loop service will resume on Tuesday, January 16, 2018**

UC Annual Permit holders will be allowed to park in campus lots on Friday, October 13, 2017, until 5:30pm.

Permit holders must vacate Boalt and Bowles lots no later than 5:45pm. ‘C’ Annual permit holders may park at the Boalt Garage.

Daily Scratch-offs will not be valid on campus after 5:30pm for the Friday night Football game.

Public Parking

$30.00 Public Parking will be offered at the following locations at 5:30PM:

  • Genetics Garage (Oxford/Berkeley Way)

Access to Level 1 of Lower Hearst Lot will be closed on Monday, October 2-Sunday, October 8 due to city street construction. Levels 2-4 of Lower Hearst Lot can be accessed through Scenic Drive.

Additionally, we are requesting UC permit holders to park at the alternate parking locations:

Fall online sales has ended.  If you need to purchase fall student permit, please come in person at 1995 University Avenue, Ste. 110, Berkeley CA .

There will be limited access to the Loop service on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 7:45am – 10:00pm, due to the Ben Shapiro event at Zellerbach Hall. Please review the attached map for service areas. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, and normal service will resume on Friday, September 15, 2017

Participants who are interested in the Secure Bike Cage program can register their bikes through the Parking & Transportation website. P&T Managers will review the application; and for Fall 2017 will update the PIN/Cal1 Card information to cages every Tuesday morning and Friday afternoon.

Parking and Transportation currently does not offer Ford GoBike corporate memberships for Staff and Faculty members beyond departments who have already secured agreements with.

Staff and faculty members interested in participating must contact their department chair or representative and they must contact Dave Sorrell, TDM Manager, in Parking and Transportation for further instructions in participating.
