For the entire month of May, all rides to and from UC Berkeley are FREE on Waze Carpool!
The Waze Carpool team will be on site on Tuesday (4/24), Wednesday (4/25), and Thursday (4/26) at Sproul Plaza (spoiler alert - with treats and giveaways!) to promote May Madness - where the entire UC Berkeley Community will receieve FREE Carpool rides to and from the UC Berkeley Campus during the month of May.
Follow these steps to redeem unlimited free rides from now through the end of the month:
● Step 1: Download Waze Carpool (iOS / Android)
● Step 2: Add your work email address to your profile. [THIS IS REQUIRED TO TRIGGER THE FREE RIDES!]
● Step 3: In the app, tap Request ride & select the days you want to carpool
● Step 4: Relax in the passenger seat...commuting just got easier
What’s Waze Carpool?
Waze Carpool is a fun, cheap and efficient way to get around Berkeley and Beyond; Because riders only helpcover the cos ts of the drive, each ride will never exceed $0.54 a mile, 100% of which goes to the carpool drivers.
Are Waze Carpool drivers Waze employees?
No, they’re not. Waze Carpool drivers aren't professionals like those found on Uber and Lyft. Instead, they are neighbors or coworkers looking to carpool to/from school, meet new people, and get reimbursed for some gas money. Simple.
