UC Berkeley Receives National Designation as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2018

UC Berkeley has been named one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2018 for offering exceptional employee-provided commuter benefits that meet the National Standard of Excellence criteria.

The TDM Unit of the Parking & Transportation Department is seeking four (4) qualified students to help guide the AC Transit Class Pass Committee for the 2018-19 school year.

The goals of the committee are:

Student Fall Permit Sales:

Student Fall semester permits will be sold online beginning August 6th, 2018.

(Update on 7/31/18: public parking at University Extension (UNEX) beginning at 5:00 am will resume on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.)

Parking & Transportation are currently looking for up to three (3) candidates for the position of Transit Driver. This safety-sensitive position would operate vehicles for Bear Transit service across campus. 

Parking and Transportation Office will close from 12:45pm to 3:15pm on Thursday  June 14th, 2018

Effective June 1, 2018, until further notice, on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday nights, the South Side shuttle will run every half-hour (30 minutes), rather than every quarter hour (15 minutes).

TEMPORARY PARKING LOT CLOSURES

BAMPFA - Closing Starting June 1, 2018

As a continuation of the BAMPFA construction, the BAMPFA Parking Lot at 2150 Addison St will partially close for the next 28 months to accommodate the construction of a new hotel on the site of the Bank of America building at Shattuck and Center st.  20 of the 27 spaces in the lot are being turned over to Bank of America during the following hours:

Due to painting of the Bancroft Parking Structure, various areas of the lot will experience temporary loss of parking between April 30 and May 18. This will occur in three phases:

Customer Service Lobby will be closed from 11:30 am-1:00 pm on Thursday, April 26th.

P&T office will close at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
