FY22 Parking Rates

FY2021-22 Parking Permit Rates

• All existing employee parking permits will continue to be sold from our Customer Service office (see below for modified business hours). 
• New and existing employees can purchase the following permits online for immediate use. 
• Commuter parking permits do not allow overnight parking.  Overnight parking may be available at the Stadium Parking Garage(link is external) (415-813-4286) or City of Berkeley garages
• The 2-Mile restriction will be reinstated beginning July 1, 2021
• NOTE: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly parking permits purchased through our online channels (My P&T Online(link is external) and the PayByPhone app) are paperless and stickerless so please ensure your vehicle's license plate is entered correctly as enforcement will be conducted by visual inspection of vehicle license plates.  If a permit is shared by multiple vehicles, only one vehicle is allowed to park on a particular day (additional shared vehicles parking on the same day must purchase a separate permit online(link is external), through the PayByPhone app, or at a pay station).

Employee (Faculty/Staff) Parking Permits

• Temporary Spring Semester Accommodation Ends: Effective 7/1/21, permit holders will be required to park in the parking facility for which their permit is valid.  'F' (Faculty/Staff) permits will no longer be honored in 'C' (Central Campus) parking facilities.
• Transition to Virtual Permits and New Permit Rates: Effective 7/1/21, most annual employee permits will transition to virtual permits, which are paperless and stickerless.  Employee carpool permits will continue to be sold online and in-person to allow carpool parking space access.  The purchase of discounted Faculty/Staff ('F') single-day "scratcher" hangtag permits will be limited to 48 culmulatively between 5/1/21-6/30/21.
• Annual Permit Renewals & Payroll Deduction: A new renewal procedure will be in effect.  Please check back in mid-June.
• Eligible employees with an FTE of 0.50 or higher may enroll in payroll deduction.

Student Parking Permits (Including Residence Hall)

• Permits are prorated
• Temporary Spring Semester Accommodation Ends: Effective 7/1/21, permit holders will be required to park in the parking facility for which their permit is valid. 'S' (Student) permits will no longer be honored in 'F' (Faculty/Staff), 'C' (Central Campus), or 'H' (Hill Area) parking facilities. 
• Additionally, the 2-mile purchase eligibility restriction will be reinstated on 7/1/2021.
• Transition to Virtual Permits and New Permit Rates: Effective 7/1/21, all remaining student permits will transition to virtual permits, which are paperless and stickerless. The Student Carpool ('SCP') permit will not be sold this semester.

• There is no change to the sales of Residence Hall ('RH') parking permits, which will continue to be sold from our Customer Service office.  Students whose parking permit fees are being paid by the Veterans Administration, Department of Rehabilitation, or other third-party entities should contact our Customer Service office.
