Student Parking Updates

- Students whose parking permit fees are being paid by the Veterans Administration, Department of Rehabilitation, or other third-party entity should contact our Customer Service office by e-mailing prktrans@berkeley.edu.
- Returning Permits: Single-day, weekly, and monthly permits are generally non-returnable and semester permit returns are prorated by month. Please e-mail your return request to prktrans@berkeley.edu for instructions.

Student Permit Purchase Eligibility
- Must be a registered UC Berkeley student with proof of enrollment for the current term.
- Must live outside of the designated boundary (approximately 2.0 miles away from campus).
- Generally, you are not eligible to purchase Student Commuter permits if you live within the following zip codes: 94702, 94703, 94704, 94705 (west of Claremont Ave), 94709, and 94720.
- For students not eligible to purchase the Student Commuter ('S') permit, parking may be available at the Stadium Parking Garage (2175 Gayley Rd, 510-704-2176, pete.dickinson@abm.com) or City of Berkeley Parking Garages and Lots.
Student Permit Parking Locations
The designated Student Commuter 'S' parking facilities (from largest to smallest capacity) are:
- Underhill Garage
- Lower Hearst Structure (levels 3 and 4)
- Foothill Lot
- Ellsworth Structure
- Witter Lot
Please note that designated parking facilities are subject to change at any time, and may be restricted or reserved for special events.
