Golden Bear Luncheon Parking

Guests who purchased parking with their luncheon registration will receive detailed parking instructions closer to the event. Self-park is reserved at the Stadium Parking Garage, located underneath Maxwell Family Field at 2175 Gayley Road (just north of California Memorial Stadium) on Piedmont Avenue between Bancroft Way and Hearst Avenue.  From the garage, it is a short walk to the Chevron Auditorium at International House. There will be golf carts to bring guests from the parking garage to the luncheon, and after the event from the luncheon to the parking garage. Parking passes will not be mailed prior to the event. On the day of event, guests will check in at registration to receive a parking voucher and instructions.  

Guests that did not purchase parking with their luncheon registration are recommended to take public transportation since parking is very limited on Homecoming weekend.  Self-parking will be available at on-campus lots after 4:00pm and off-campus lots (see below) will be available. Parking may be difficult. Parking passes for this event may be difficult. Parking passes for this event are limited and may sell out; they will not be available for purchase onsite. Reunion and Parents Weekend at Homecoming

The campus will be hosting Reunion and Parents Weekend at Homecoming on Friday, October 3, 2025 to Sunday, October 5, 2025. Homecoming Headquarters (check-in and registration) is located at the base of the Campanile on South Hall Rd.

Getting to campus via rideshare apps

There is limited public parking in parking lots, so we encourage you to plan ahead. There will be info booths at Sather Gate and the West Crescent where you can get a ride from one of the Homecoming golf carts, operated by Homecoming staff. These golf carts are not street-legal and can only take you to on-campus locations.  Contact the Homecoming team directly with questions.

If you’re taking a rideshare service, e.g. Uber or Lyft, to campus, please be aware that there are specific locations on campus where guests can be dropped off. The locations designated for rideshare apps drop-offs are:
  • West Gate/Eucalyptus Grove

  • North Gate (Hearst/Euclid)
  • Hearst Mining Circle (Stanley Hall)
  • Haas School of Business
  • Berkeley Law & Anthropology and Art Practice Building (College/Bancroft)
  • Sproul Plaza (East of Telegraph/Bancroft Transit Center)
  • RecSports Facility (West of Dana at Bancroft)

The nearest rideshare drop-off locations closest to info booths are the West Gate/Eucalyptus Grove(recommended) and Sproul Plaza (east of Telegraph/Bancroft Transit Center).

Campus shuttle from BART to campus

Campus shuttles (Bear Transit) are free for registered guests if they present a Homecoming name tag. Bear Transit provides convenient transportation between campus, Downtown Berkeley BART, parking lots, the Hill area, Clark Kerr campus, and residence halls.

On Friday, parking is limited and guests may park at the following campus parking lots and garages with hourly pay parking, as space is available:

  • Lower Hearst Garage, Level 2 (After 4:00pm)

  • RSF Garage (After 4:00pm)

  • Stadium Garage

  • UnderHill Garage

Or the following non-UC parking lots and garages with hourly/daily parking:

  • Stadium Parking Garage (2175 Gayley Road) - limited due to special events

  • Center Street near Shattuck Avenue (2025 Center Street)

  • Berkeley Way near Shattuck

  • Allston Way near Shattuck (2061 Allston Way)

  • Telegraph  Channing Parking Garage (2450 Durant Avenue)

  • Bancroft Way near Bowditch (2558 Bancroft Way)

  • Oxford Parking Garage (2165 Kittredge Street)

  • Elmwood parking Lot (2600 block of Russell St., at College Avenue)

On Saturday, many of the parking lots and garages are unavailable due to the Cal football game. If you would like more information on parking please visit pt.berkeley.edu/special-events/cal-football

The following non-UC parking lots and garages offer public parking near campus and in downtown Berkeley:
  • Center Street near Shattuck Avenue (2025 Center Street)

  • Berkeley Way near Shattuck

  • Allston Way near Shattuck (2061 Allston Way)

  • Durant Avenue near Telegraph (2450 Durant Avenue)

  • Bancroft Way near Bowditch (2558 Bancroft Way)

Additionally, parking is available at Berkeley High School, 2000 Bancroft Way (at Milvia), with entrances on both Durant Avenue and Bancroft Way. Cost for parking varies per event. Patrons may tailgate in this lot as long as they clean up after themselves.
