MTC was informed the UC Berkeley and UAW 2865 reached a settlement in principle regarding the Clipper BayPass pilot program. UC Berkeley intends to extend its participation in the pilot until August 13 or until a final settlement with UAW is reached, whichever comes first. Once the final settlement is reached, UC Berkeley intends to continue its participation in the Clipper BayPass program as originally agreed upon and throughout the duration of the pilot.

UC Berkeley Parking & Transportation, and the Office of Senator Kailen Grottel-Brown are excited to announce the operation of all three Bear Transit Night Shuttles during finals week. The Southside loop, Northside loop, and Door-to-Door shuttles will all be in service for the entirety of next week so you can get home safely from your finals and late-night studying. P&T Offices

The Parking & Transportation office at 1995 University Avenue will be closed during campus curtailment and reopen on Wednesday, January 3^rd, 2023

(Limited customer support during Curtailment will be available through e-mail at prktrans@berkeley.edu.)

Parking Enforcement

Parking regulations will be enforced during campus curtailment. All parking rules and regulations continue to apply.   

Due to the upcoming UC Strike, there may be disruptions to Bear Transit Shuttles and Loop Golf Cart services. We will update this webpage and our social media channels with any important updates or service changes.

Bear Transit Riders who need Bear Transit Routes, must board at Oxford and Berkeley Way West. The stops at University/Oxford and Hearst/Arch will be closed throughout the project.

The Campus Annual Survey Launches October 24th and will last through December 4th.

The survey will take 10 minutes and participants will be put in a drawing for Amazon, Peet's, and Spotify Gift Cards (there's a lot to be offered this year)!

AC Transit Detours along South and East Sides of Campus, October 22nd.

Come learn about and give your input on options for a new plaza and redesign of Adeline Street next to the Ashby BART station that the City is developing.

• Some Clipper Cards were not fully activated or have lost the benefit due to a IT transactional error.
• Please try tagging your card on an AC Transit Bus, to verify if the pass has been loaded.

Effective August 21, 2022 - Bear Transit will have several service and schedule improvements for both Daytime and Nighttime Routes.
