Employees with Payroll Deduction - Debit Card Transactions

June 21, 2022

All WageWorks Commuter Debit Card holders that your WageWorks Commuter Debit Mastercard will be cancelled and replaced with a HealthEquity Commuter Debit Visa card. As a result, your WageWorks Commuter Debit Mastercard stopped working on Monday 6/13/22, during which time any remaining balance will be transferred to the new debit card and mailed to the address in your WageWorks profile.

If you are currently using Autoload with your Clipper Card, please be sure to add a Backup Payment card to your Clipper account (either through the Clipper website at clippercard.com or the Clipper mobile app).  Warning: if Autoload is unable to load funds from your WageWorks Commuter Debit Mastercard (as the Primary Payment card) and no Backup Payment card has been added, your Clipper Card could be temporarily disabled, requiring you to call Clipper Customer Service.

If your Backup Payment card was charged or you ended up paying for your commuting expenses through a different payment method, you can complete and submit the attached form back to WageWorks to have those expenses reimbursed back to you from your WageWorks (pre-tax) account funds.  To view or update your reimbursement method, please login to your WageWorks account at participant.wageworks.com, click your name (profile) in the upper-right corner, and click "Reimbursement Method" on the left menu.

If you have forgotten your username and/or password, you can start the reset process by:

  • clicking the "Forgot" link and following the prompts until you reach the "Identify Yourself" box.
  • If you have forgotten your username (which for most people is "firstnamelastname"), click the "Forgot Username" button first and you'll get a different set of questions.
  • For all employees, please enter "12/31" as your "Date of Birth".
  • For your "ID Code", first enter the last four digits of your 8-digit UCPath ID number.
  • When resetting your username and/or password, selecting the "Online" method will save some time, but if that method fails, you can switch to using your e-mail address.
  • Once you have regained access to your WageWorks account, please click your name (profile) in the upper-right corner to ensure that your contact information is up to date.
