Most department ceremonies will be held at the Greek Theatre or Zellerbach Hall from Friday, May 13, 2022 - Sunday, May 22, 2022, with 2-3 ceremonies at each venue per day: 9am, 2pm, and 7pm.
Commencement Visitor Parking Tips
- Know your venue and nearby parking locations.
- Observe and obey parking signs and regulations.
- Please remember that payment is via credit card only - no cash payments will be accepted.

9:00AM Ceremonies:
Parking is available first come, first serve at the following UC lots for $10 credit card only:
- GREEK THEATRE:
- WEEKENDS/WEEKDAYS: Foothill Parking Lot (Cyclotron Road, east of Gayley Road) (Please note: this lot does not have ADA access to the Greek Theatre)
- WEEKENDS ONLY: Upper Hearst Parking Structure (intersection of Gayley Road/Hearst Ave)
- WEEKDAYS ONLY: Lower Hearst Parking Structure Level 2 (intersection of Scenic Ave/Hearst Ave)
- ZELLERBACH HALL:
- WEEKENDS/WEEKDAYS: Lower Sproul Garage (Bancroft Ave, between Telegraph Ave and Dana St)
- WEEKENDS ONLY: RSF Garage (intersection of Bancroft Ave/Ellsworth St)
Parking will be sold at the lots from 7am-10am, and permits will be valid until 12pm in the above lots. If you need to park after 12pm, you will need to relocate your vehicle after the ceremony to the Underhill Garage (corner of College Ave/Channing Ave), where your permits will be valid until 2am.

Commencement Shuttle Options
Shuttles are a quick, easy way to commute to commencement Monday-Friday. We recommend you consider one of these shuttle options as an alternative to driving. Please note that there is no dedicated department graduation shuttle or golf cart service.
Catch a Bear Transit shuttle from Downtown Berkeley BART Monday-Friday
- Catch the eastbound P-Line shuttle every half hour and on the hour at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and Addison Street, near Bank of America.
- Catch the C-Line shuttle every 20 minutes from 6:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and Addison Street, near Bank of America.
- Shuttles are free for graduating seniors wearing their cap and gown or with ID, as well as their families.

Disabled Parking
All designated disabled spaces and non-reserved spaces will be available for $10 to drivers with certified DP placards or license plates on a first-come, first-served basis.
