UC Berkeley is host to commencement ceremonies throughout the year, with the Greek Theater and Zellerbach Hall being two of the most commonly used venues. During commencements, visitors may purchase $10 parking from attendants at UC controlled lots.

Commencement Shuttle Options

Shuttles are a quick, easy way to commute to commencement. We recommend you consider one of these shuttle options as an alternative to driving.

Catch a Bear Transit shuttle from Downtown Berkeley BART

  • Catch the eastbound P-Line shuttle every half hour and on the hour at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and  Addison Street, near Bank of America. 
  • Catch the C-Line shuttle every 20 minutes from 6:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and Addison Street, near Bank of America.
  • Shuttles are free for graduating seniors wearing their cap and gown or with ID, as well as their families.

Disabled Parking

All designated disabled spaces and non-reserved spaces will be available for $10 to drivers with certified DP placards or license plates on a first-come, first-served basis.
