How to Renew Your Bear Pass

Introduction

The Parking & Transportation department hopes that you have enjoyed the benefits of the Bear Pass and encourages you to renew each year.

Those wishing to purchase a Bear Pass for the first time may do so by visiting the P&T Customer Services department. You can visit our Forms and Publications page to download and complete a Bear Pass Form ahead of time. See the Bear Pass main page for more information on enrollment and eligibility.

Payroll Deduction Automatic Renewal

Your Bear Pass will be automatically renewed and mailed to you if you are on payroll deduction, have employment that continues into this year and are currently a Bear Pass Holder. Payroll deduction will continue to be made automatically from your paycheck.  Your payroll deduction will automatically be adjusted to the new rate effective July 1st.

You will need to take action or cancel during the renewal period only if you:

  • have had an address change since July 1 last year
  • are on furlough during the summer months and do not want the pass during the time you are away from campus.  In that case, you will want to cancel your Bear Pass and renew it at the P&T office upon your return.
  • do not want to continue in the program.

Otherwise, you do not need to do anything. We will mail a new Bear Pass to your home address in June.

If you do not want to continue in the program, you do not need to do anything. Your pass will expire on June 30 this year.
