Introduction
The UC Berkeley Parking & Transportation Department, in partnership with the California Alumni Association (CAA) announces the CAA parking permit for current members.
Perfect for visits to campus facilities, Cal Performance events, sporting events, downtown Berkeley and Telegraph Avenue shopping, the CAA parking permit provides convenient evening and weekend campus parking at a low monthly price.

Program Benefits

Program Overview
The CAA parking permit is offered under a joint agreement by the UC Berkeley Parking & Transportation Department and the California Alumni Association.
The CAA permit is available to current CAA members, and allows evening and weekend campus parking for the same price paid by UC faculty & staff for a Night/Weekend permit (see the Product List for current pricing). Evening and weekend parking hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., and all day Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m., including holidays.*
Permits are valid for one year beginning July 1st and expiring June 30th each year. Permits must be paid in full for the fiscal year. Price is pro-rated daily based on the portion of the year remaining at the time of purchase.
This pilot program has been extended another year and will be discontinued on June 30th, 2007.

- Enter all required information (you can either fill in the form on your computer, or by print out the form and complete it by hand.)
- Sign and date the form.
- Bring the completed form and your CAA membership number to the Parking & Transportation office.
- Make your purchase transaction via cash, check, credit or debit card.

- Fax application to (510) 642-0839.
- Call the Parking & Transportation Office at (510) 643-7701 in three business days, to purchase your permit over the phone via credit card.
- P&T will mail out your permit. Please allow 5-7 business days to receive the permit at your home address.

CAA Parking Permit Policies
Enrollment Policies
Eligibility: Any current California Alumni Association Member is eligible for a CAA permit.
Form Submission & Enrollment: All program actions can be done via fax or in person at the P&T Customer Service office.
Payment Options: Permit must be paid in full at time of enrollment via cash, check or credit card.
Cancellation Policies: CAA members may cancel their permit at any time. The permit must be returned to the Parking and Transportation office to receive a refund pro-rated for the fiscal year.
Credit or Debit Card Payment Cancellation: If you have paid in full for the year, your card will be credited for the remaining value.
Cash or Check Payment: If you have paid by cash or check, you will be refunded the remaining value by check. Check will be mailed to the customer address provided on this form. Please allow three to six weeks for delivery.
Replacement Policies: Lost permits should be reported to P&T immediately. Permit holders will be charged a $25.00 replacement fee.
Stolen permits should be reported to P&T immediately and a report filed with the UC Police Department. P&T will replace the permit at no charge with a provided police report case number.
Damaged permits brought in to the P&T office will be replaced at no charge for the first occurrence. A $25.00 replacement fee will be charged for subsequent replacements.
CAA Parking Permit Program Usage Policies
- The CAA parking permit is valid in all campus lots, subject to campus regulations and posted signage.
- Parking is limited in campus lots during special events such as football games, men’s basketball games, and other events where parking in specific lots may be reserved, as posted on signage.
- Permits are valid for the fiscal year beginning July 1st through June 30th. Rates are pro-rated based on the portion of the year remaining at the time of purchase.
- Permits must be paid for in full for the year. Pro-rated purchase price and refund will follow the existing schedule produced by P&T for campus affiliates.
CAA permit holders are subject to all campus regulations and policies related to traffic, parking and permit use.
