Parking Permits
Introduction
Campus parking permits are reserved for UC Berkeley affiliates (faculty, staff, students) and authorized visitors and contractors. You must show proof of affiliation or approval from a sponsoring department or appropriate campus authority to purchase a permit.
All permit-holders must pay the non-refundable $36 Annual Transportation Fee along with any applicable monthly or daily fees (Carpool permit-holders excluded). Daily permits are non-refundable.
Spaces for disabled persons, service/maintenance vehicles, and reserved spaces require special permits. Standard permit types are not valid in these spaces. Parking is not allowed at red curb areas at any time.

Forget your permit?
Central Campus and Faculty/Staff permit-holders may visit the East or West Gates for temporary one-day permits. Student permit-holders must stop by the P&T office for temporary one-day permits. Handwritten notes do not substitute for a temporary permit – vehicles not displaying a permit will be cited.
