Hourly Visitor parking is available in specified parking areas from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during permit parking hours. The following areas are available for public parking during these days and hours.

After 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and weekends, hourly public parking is available in all campus parking areas unless otherwise indicated on parking control signs. Refer to the UC Berkeley Visitor Parking Map for lot locations.

1. Unattended Public Parking Lots

At campus parking lots without an attendant, visitors are required to pay in advance at a pay station. Hourly pay parking is available at the following campus lots (No campus permits, unless otherwise noted):

• All unattended lots, except U/Hall West:
  • Monday–Saturday: 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Closed 2:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.)
  • Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.

  • No Parking between 2am -5am
  • Parking Rates Mon - Sat, Sunday rates seperate

2. More Information and Exceptions

After 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday and on weekends, hourly public parking is available until 5:00 a.m. at all lots, including all levels of the Lower Hearst Garage.

All UC affiliate parking permits are valid under regular night and weekend parking regulations, except for Gold Zones, 11 spaces in U/Hall West Lot. At Lower Hearst, parking rate signs are posted at the pay stations and at the entrance to Level 2.
