As an added benefit to holding an annual parking permit, Parking & Transportation is offering a free AC Transit Bear Pass to those who currently hold an annual parking permit. We want to encourage those driving to campus to try transit as a cost effective alternative and we hope having a Bear Pass will make it as easy as possible to try public transportation. The AC Transit Bear Pass program provides unlimited rides on AC Transit buses within the district, including to the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. Please apply in person as we must take your picture and affix it to your Bear Pass. Just bring your completed Free AC Transit Bear Pass Application, to the Parking &Transportation office, at 2150 Kittredge Street between 7:30am and 4:00pm M-F, we will take your picture and send along your completed application to AC Transit and you will receive your free Bear Pass in 5-7 business days. The Free AC Transit Bear Pass Application may be found on the P&T website.
This program is only open to those who possess a valid annual parking permit, if you relinquish your annual parking permit you may retain the AC Transit Bear Pass benefits by either paying in full the prorated annual fee or enrolling in WageWorks for pre-tax payroll deduction on a monthly basis ($34.00 monthly). If you terminate your annual parking permit and do not pay the prorated fee or enroll for payroll deduction through WageWorks your AC Transit Bear Pass will be deactivated.
