New Policy Regarding Pre-tax Alternative Transit Tickets
When: November 30th, 2005
- The Parking & Transportation Department has received notice from Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) that they will discontinue selling $32.00 value BART tickets beginning November 30th, 2005.
- Because of this notice, P&T will not be replenished with $32.00 value BART tickets after Monday, October 31st.
- $32.00 value BART tickets do not expire and will continue to be valid for BART after November 30th.
- P&T will continue to sell the remaining stock of $32.00 value BART tickets until November 30th.
- P&T will discontinue monthly payroll deduction for $32.00 value BART ticket holders. If you use the monthly payroll deduction plan, you should contact P&T office for changes, information, and procedures.
- As of August 1st, 2005, P&T will hold unclaimed transit tickets for 30 days only. After this period, any unclaimed tickets will be mailed to the customer's home address. Please be aware that P&T is not liable for tickets lost in the mail.
- Effective November 1st, the P&T will only sell the following alternative transit tickets:
