The Parking & Transportation Department is pleased to announce new parking available on the campus’ west side beginning March 14th, 2005. Parking in certain area lots have been reallocated to accommodate parking needs related to University office relocations.
The new Oxford Lot at the corner of Hearst and Oxford Streets will open with 23 faculty/staff spaces for “F” permit-holders. Four “F” spaces will also be added to the University Hall Well lot.
Campus visitors to University Hall, the Visitor Center and nearby destinations will benefit from 27 new short-term hourly parking spaces being put into operation in the University Hall West lot. Two disabled person (DP) parking spaces will be maintained in the lot for access by campus DP permit-holders (state-issued DP placards are not valid in campus DP spaces weekdays before 5 p.m.)
Parking in the short-term spaces is allowed with the display of a dispensing machine ticket (DMT). Users may purchase DMTs from the yellow dispensing machine located in University Hall West lot, center aisle. Hourly rates are published on our Public & Visitor Parking web page. DMTs must be clearly displayed, date side up on the vehicle’s driver side dashboard to be valid.
Service questions may be directed to the Parking & Transportation office.
